After turning the Virtual Press Centre into a success last year, we are hosting the Eurovision Song Contest in 2022 as well. The collaboration between Let’s Get Digital and Eurovision went so well, that we got ‘douze points’ for our work and got to host it again this year, and now in Italy!
2021 vs 2022
On March 2021, we got a call from the Eurovision Song Contest organizer, asking us to create a virtual press center, so that a thousand journalists could attend the event from wherever they are as if they were really there live in Rotterdam Ahoy. Well, as lifelong song festival fans, we couldn’t refuse that offer, so we got our act together and took up the challenge to create an experience that would blow the members of the press away.
Although the worst is behind us as far as corona is concerned, it has been decided to also have a digital press center this year. The choice of a digital press center also fits in with the festival’s policy to offer business online as much as possible. The event business is evolving and Eurovision is a perfect example of the shift towards digital!
Yes, only three companies have worked with Eurovision Song Contest for consecutive years. This makes us extra proud to be a part of such a huge event. We have been collaborating with Jet-Stream for a smooth streaming experience. Together, we keep on delivering a high quality platform.
