We’re committed to the UN's SDGs

The United Nations have introduced sustainable Development Goals to make our world more sustainable by 2030. It’s not just about fighting pollution and global warming but also about raising people out of poverty. There are 17 SDGs in total. We’ve structured our business in such a manner that we can have a measurable impact in these areas.

Barriers make events difficult to access

The positive impact of virtual events

Wave goodbye to travel time for users, organisers & partners. No gear needs to be transported to the event venue and no stands have to be set up and maintained. That means saving a lot on C02 emissions. 

That means we contribute to SDGs 9 & 13 with every event organised through our platform. SDG 9 is about building resilient infrastructure, promoting inclusive and sustainable industrialisation and fostering innovation. SDG 13 is about taking urgent action to combat climate change and its impacts.

How we measure our impact

We’ve defined 2 impact-objectives: making the events industry more sustainable and connecting and inspiring people worldwide to do the same.

We calculate CO2 emissions via the Google Maps API, taking the recommended route as an average. Next, we add up the mileage from all users, partners and the organiser and display it in the form of saved trees and travel time to make the numbers less abstract. Everybody receives a personal impact report after the event.

SDG’s: innovation, sustainable infrastructure and climate action!

Thanks to the digital event location that we’ve developed, we are modernizing how we currently organize events, while at the same time reducing their environmental impact. In this way, we contribute to SDG 9 and 13 together with the events and their visitors! Curious about the strategy behind it? Data driven

In addition, all event organizers, event users and speakers at these events will receive a personal report with all kinds of insights about the event. So, you as an event organizer will see the exact impact of your event, and as a user what your personal impact is, data-driven!

Specifically for the speakers at the event, part of our report consists of data-driven insights into their presentation. For example, at what point was your audience very engaged with your presentation? At what moments did attendees leave your presentation, reducing the overall interactivity? Questions that you could only guess the answer of before, we answer (data-driven) for you! This way, you’ll improve your presentation; step-by-step and data-driven.

Connect and inspire people around the world

One of the main reasons to visit events is to meet new people. That’s why our online event environment is designed so that digital networking feels familiar, just like you’re used to from physical events. Network carousel, 1 on 1 (video) calls, connections – it’s all possible. We want to facilitate as many global connections as possible with our digital event environment.

SDG 9: Industry, innovation and infrastructure

With our goal to connect and inspire people worldwide, we contribute to the realization of SDG 9. Thanks to our digital event environment, we facilitate global connections in a sustainable way and thus increase the positive impact of events! In addition, we aim to develop a light version of our platform in the coming years.
